Nature or culture - there’s something for everyone!

Märkisch Buchholz is situated about 40 kilometers south-east of Berlin in the  “Dahme-Heideseen” National Park, a landscape formed by the last ice age. Numerous rivers and lakes as well as wide deciduous woodlands witness of that time and offer lots of possibilities to today’s visitors to enjoy and use for relaxation.

From here within a few minutes you can reach the wellknown “Biosphärenreservat Spreewald” with it’s  attractions.
You also can reach Europe’s biggest tropical park “Tropical Islands” by car with about 20 minutes.

No doubt that the German capital  Berlin is worth to be visited - 1 hour by car only! And the regional capitals Potsdam and Dresden are only 90 minutes away.

Our small collection of links on the right side may lead you to some  sites of also worth to be seen places around Märkisch Buchholz.
